What this site collects, what it doesn't, and what gets sent to third parties.

This site is run as a personal project by Hochul Song. The legal scope is small, but the principle is simple: I try to ship the smallest amount of tracking I can get away with while still understanding whether anyone reads the site.

What this site collects directly

Nothing on the server side. This site is statically generated and served from Cloudflare Workers. There is no user account, no comment system, no contact form, no newsletter signup. I don't run a database that stores anything about you.

What third parties receive

  • Cloudflare sits in front of every request because the site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic request metadata in order to serve the page and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare's privacy notice is at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics (if enabled) measures page views and approximate country. It is cookie-less and does not fingerprint visitors. It is intended specifically for sites that want server-level analytics without GDPR consent banners.
  • Amazon receives the standard browser referrer when you click an affiliate link to Amazon, plus the affiliate tag in the URL. After that point you are on Amazon's site and their privacy policy applies (https://www.amazon.com/privacy).
  • Cloudflare R2 hosts images for review pages. When your browser loads an image, the request goes to R2.

That is the full list of data flows. I do not run Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no third-party ad networks.

Cookies

The site itself sets one cookie:

  • i18n_redirected — remembers which language version (en / de / ko) you chose, so you don't get redirected back every time you visit.

The admin area (/admin) is protected by Cloudflare Access and uses Cloudflare's own session cookie (CF_Authorization). The admin area is for me, not for visitors.

Your rights under GDPR

If you live in the EU/EEA/UK and want to know what data I personally hold about you: I don't hold any. There's nothing to export and nothing to delete because nothing leaves your browser into a database I control. The third-party services listed above run their own GDPR processes — please contact them directly for data they may hold.
